Hello to all my friends and newsletter readers!

It's already March and spring is in the air but this is my first newsletter of 2008!

As many of you may have seen from my blog I was wondering whether to leave Japan and head to the US this year. Well 2008 just got off to a ROARING start and there is so much energy in Tokyo that I'll certainly be here for the time being. (More and more that looks like it means forever. I love it in Japan and there is no real reason to leave :-)

I'm now regularly co-organizing 2-3 events a month. The first is the free Pink Cow Conspiracy Event (next Wednesday) for small businesses and entrepreneurs (or anyone wanting to be).

The second is the Tokyo 2.0 event (next Tuesday) for internet professionals and anyone interested in the latest internet trends. There is an endless number of cool things happening in this space in Tokyo so we always have good speakers (with Japanese or English interpretation) and the event is growing every month with 50+ attendees.

Finally, I continue to be a geek at heart and follow my passion for smart phones and organize events for the Windows Mobile in Japan community.

Hard to believe that those are just done on a volunteer basis, but I enjoy it and love the great feedback from everyone.

As part of the CVP business, this year I'm also following my passion for the internet and the solutions it can provide and working with two very cool companies. One company will be launching their service for English speakers over the next few months so I'll save that for next time. The second company is Joblet - a no risk, results-driven job listing site and network - and is described below.

Important: To ensure you get regular event info I'm planning to send out monthly emails directly from JapanEvents.net. I'll keep this newsletter going as there are relevant things to report. If you don't want to receive JapanEvents.net emails - please let me know.

Joblet is a no risk, results-driven job listing site and network.

Employers, for no initial charge, you can easily create an account and post a job listing online. Joblet check your listing and instantly publish it to relevant sites in Joblet’s network. The Joblet network currently includes over 100 English and Japanese language sites with over 6 million combined monthly pageviews.

For web site owners, Joblet offers you a way to generate revenue from your web site in an elegant and value added way.

Jobseekers can also find jobs listed on the site.

Joblet offers a completely new option for companies looking to hire people and makes great use of the latest internet trends and I'm expecting big things from them this year.

At Customers, Vendors, People I help companies to connect with top quality vendors, of business services. Whatever you are looking for - a new web site, training, consulting, property, staff or anything else - let us know.

I promise to provide some good and honest advice about the vendors out there and do what I can to connect you with the right people.

The CVP newsletter is sent out to friends, colleagues, people I have recently met, and people who signed up from my personal web site or the CVP site. I use a service by WebSoftTT to send the mail and track link clicks so I know what people are interested in. If you don't want to receive the newsletter or would like your address updating, just reply and let me know.
