CVP Connections Newsletter: NetTokyo 2008 this Saturday & Other Updates

I'm sure I'm connected to most of you here on one of the many social networking services out there, but I'd just wanted to make sure that you are all aware of the NetTokyo 2008 event coming up this Saturday : www.nettokyo.jp. As you know I started NetTokyo in 2005 with a few other community leaders as an event to bring together people from different networks for a fun afternoon of business networking. We are expecting around 400 people this year and are aiming for a 1000 person event buy 2010! All proceeds go to charity and we've been very lucky to have some great prize donations from our sponsors: http://www.nettokyo.jp/sponsors.php WHEN: Saturday, July 19th 2PM – 6PM WHERE: Rolling Stone Café, Azabu Juban http://www.rs-cafe.jp/index.html or http://gmap.jp/shop-13368.html COST: 4000 yen in advance/5000 yen at the door.  Includes food + one drink. 500 yen drink specials thereafter. RSVP: HIGHLY appreciated so that we can plan for food.  Attendance is limited to 500 people, so we encourage advance online registration & payment via the website Would be great to catch up with many of you at the event. On other matters, I'm sure any of you in the industry already know about the monthly www.tokyo2point0.net event which is now in it's 2nd year and attracting almost 100 people a month. On the online front, I set up www.iphoneinjapan.com for sharing information about the phone almost everybody wants. Finally I'm very excited about the progress we've been making at www.joblet.jp and we have some more exciting things in the pipeline so stay tuned.
